Third Annual International Friendship and Freedom Games
The Fast track was open for business last Saturday as North Carolina A&T was host for the third annual International Friendship and Freedom Games at the Irvin Belt Track inside Aggie Stadium, in Greensboro, NC. The Meet held in honor of four NC A&T Students credited with initiating Sit-In demonstrations in the early Sixties, drew Grade School, collegiate, and Olympic Athletes who had their shot on the Fast Track against their peers and a chance to garner a view of athletes they will face on the next level.

HAMPTON, Va. – During the 2005 Virginia Group AAA Eastern Region outdoor track & field meet, Bethel High coach Eddie Williams said that if his star runner, Francena McCorory, kept running the way she did that day, running an open 400-meter dash in 51 or 52 seconds wasn’t out of the question.

NEW ORLEANS — Ralph Metcalfe was serving his country in World War II when Xavier University of Louisiana made history at the 1942 Penn Relays Carnival. This weekend the former Xavier coach and the relay team he assembled will be honored at the 116th running of the United States' oldest annual track and field event.

HAMPTON, Va. – Coming out of Langley High School in northern Virginia, Damon Dixon wasn’t highly regarded as a potential collegiate athlete.

So Dixon came to Hampton University, the same school older brother Darwin attended. As a freshman, Dixon walked on to the track & field team. As a sophomore, Dixon had worked his way into a partial scholarship.
