(RALEIGH, N.C. -- March 27, 2010) The Bowie State University Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs track & field teams had some great efforts to close out the 2010 Reebok Raleigh Relays. The event was highlighted by a third place fininsh by senior Aaron Johnson (Oxon Hill, MD, Oxon Hill) in the men's high jump. Johnson, an indoor All-American, went over the bar at 2.15m (7-00.50).

Trip marks his fifth time to National Championships
The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Track and Field
Committee has announced the participants of the 2010 Indoor Championships and senior Allodin Fothergill (New Hempstead, N.Y.) was one of 568 participants to qualify for the event, held March 12-13. Fothergill currently ranks 11th in the nation in the 400-meter dash with a time of 46:45,
which he ran at the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America Championships last weekend.
VSU'S DOMINIQUE KING SELECTED FOR NCAA INDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS

Virginia State University's Dominique King, who won the CIAA Championship in the women's long jump, has been selected to compete in the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, to be held in Albuquerque, N.M., on March 12 and 13. King enters the NCAA championship seeded 11th in the long jump. Rachel Anderson of Lincoln (Mo.) is the top seed while Tamika Taylor of Indiana (Pa.) is second. King is the only CIAA student-athlete to be selected to compete in the women's long jump.
