Lydia Evans, 6-3, Signs to Play for Lady Panthers

Virginia Union University has announced that Lydia Evans, a 6-3 forward/center from Upper Marlboro, Md., has signed to play women's basketball for the Lady Panthers.

Evans, who led Riverdale Baptist High School to a 29-6 record in 2010-11, was named to the fourth-team All-Regional girls' basketball team and was a member of the Private School squad in the Prince George's County Girls All-Star basketball game.

Evans joins her Courtney Warren, her teammate from Riverdale Baptist, as the second Crusader who has signed to play basketball at VUU.

VUU head women's coach Barvenia Wooten-Collier announced the signing on the VUU campus.
