Brittany Ransom averaged over 18 points in Shaw's two games this past week. In a one-point loss to Nova Southeastern, Ransom kept the Lady Bears in the game with critical threes in the second half. Her shooting also helped the Lady Bears overcome a slow start against Palm Beach Atlantic.
Coach of the Week Donna Polk, Bowie State University Donna Polk led the BSU Lady Bulldogs to two impressive wins last week, defeating nationally ranked Gannon (70-52) on day one of the BSU Lady Bulldogs Classic and edged Ferris State 63-60 on the final day, going 2-0 for the holiday week.

Davis had a stellar week en route to being named MVP of the 36th Annual Winter Park Rotary Tangerine Tournament. He was a great player at both ends of the court, averaging a double-double of 17.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game. He was also a great defensive player for the Rams with seven blocked shots in the two games of the tournament. After a strong effort in the opening game, he stepped up to lead the Rams to the tournament championship with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots in the championship game.

Tony Smith continued to be a lynchpin in the Shaw attack this week. His 21 points against Columbus State helped the Bears squeak by with the 76-74 win. Coach of the Week
