TUCKER NABS TWO CIAA WEEKLY HONORS ECSU Junior Forward Named Conference Player, Newcomer of the Week April J. Emory November 22, 2010 HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State University forward Rondy Tucker has been named CIAA Player and Newcomer of the Week as announced as the conference office Monday afternoon. In his first two games donning a Viking uniform the Plainfield, NJ native averaged a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. The ECSU’s season opening win over Barton College he scored 22 points and hauled in 18 rebounds. The Vikings are off to a 2-0 start with wins over Barton and Central State at the ECSU Basketball Tipoff last weekend at the RL Vaughan Center. The Vikings will return to action at the Lake Shore Classic in Gary, IN November 26-27. They will face Claflin University on Friday, November 26th and Fisk University on November 27th.
