UMES ANNOUNCES DATES FOR VOLLEYBALL, WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CAMPS TYLER BIRNBAUM 06/03/10 Volleyball camp June 25-27; women's basketball camp June 27-30 PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's volleyball head coach Don Metil and women's basketball head coach Fred Batchelor announced the dates for their respective summer camps Thursday. The High Peaks Specialized Camps and Clinics Volleyball Camp is slated for June 25-27, also at the Hytche Center with Metil and his staff. Limited to 40 commuters, the cost of the one-session camp is $95, including instruction from top coaches and a camp t-shirt. Contact Metil at (410) 905-4325 for more information. The Lady Hawks Basketball Camp is set for June 27-30 at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center with overnight and day camp options available for girls ages 8-17. Led by Batchelor and his staff, the camp will stress the fundamentals of basketball including ball handling, shooting, passing, positioning and communication. The cost is $250 for overnight campers and $150 for day campers (without lunch) or $125 (with lunch). Both camps include a t-shirt and awards certificates.
