Hahn goes 3-for-6 on the day for the Lady Hawks

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore scored three runs in the first
inning of a doubleheader and then played 12 scoreless innings to fall to Howard University, 11-3 and
10-0, Sunday afternoon at Lady Hawks Field.

Junior Inde Whitehurst (Virginia Beach, Va.) led off the first inning for the Lady Hawks with a
walk and then scored when junior Kyrus Whitehurst (Virginia Beach, Va.) tripled down the right
field line.

Junior Chelsea Logan (Trenton, N.J.) then singled to the shortstop to score Kyrus Whitehurst and
then scored her own run off of a triple down the right field line by freshman Jasmine James
(Willingboro, N.J.).

UMES scored three runs on four hits in the first to tie the game at three a piece.

Howard junior pitcher Carly Martin then pitched 2.0 perfect innings before being replaced by fellow
junior Jessica Hurston. Hurston sat down the next five batters before Inde Whitehurst singled to right
field.

The Lady Hawks received one hit each in the sixth and seventh innings. Redshirt junior Ebony
Hahn (Groveport, Ohio) singled up the middle in the sixth while freshman Shanice Crowder
(Baltimore, Md.) led off the bottom of the seventh with a single to left field.

The Lady Bison scored in every inning except the sixth to take the win, 11-3.

Senior Christina McCoy and junior Emily Johnson paced Howard to a 10-0 victory in the second
game, holding UMES to just one hit. The duo also combined for five strikeouts and three walks.

Hahn managed the only hit for the Lady Hawks, singling to the shortstop in the fourth inning.

UMES finishes their season with a 1-33 overall record and 0-15 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference
Play. The Lady Bison finish atop the MEAC North standings with a 14-1 conference record and 24-
20 overall.
