Final Softball Home Games Tomorrow‏

On Tuesday, April 13, our Lady Panthers Softball team (20-20 overall, 9-11 SIAC) battles Alabama A&M at 5:00 and 7:00 pm in their final home games of the 2010 campaign. Please come to the softball field tomorrow evening and cheer on the Lady Panthers as they look to head into the SIAC Championship Tournament with winning momentum.

It is also your last chance to witness NCAA Division II Nationally Ranked Ashley Brooks and Lakeisha Pruitt. As of the last NCAA rankings (April 4, 2010), Brooks leads the nation in batting average (.538), home runs per game (.52), slugging percentage (1.263) and on base percentage (.625). The accolades continue for Brooks, ranking 8th in runs batted in per game (1.32), 3rd in saves per game (4.0), 18th in walks per game (.71), 2nd in runs per game (1.42), and 3rd in the nation in total home runs (16). Pruitt has held her own as well this year. The Lady Panthers’ catcher ranks 31st in the nation in slugging percentage (.793) and 3rd in the nation as the toughest to strikeout (.92), striking out ONCE in 92 at bats.
