Friday’s softball game at Delaware State has been rained out

DOVER, Del. – The North Carolina Central University softball contest scheduled for today, March 26 at 3 p.m. at Delaware State University has been canceled due to a downpour of rain in the Dover, Del., vicinity.

Delaware State and NCCU were scheduled to battle for the second time this season before kicking off the Sean Savage Epilepsy Awareness Tournament this weekend in Dover, which is hosted by Delaware State University.

The Sean Savage Epilepsy Awareness Tournament is still scheduled to take place this weekend at the Delaware State University Softball Complex, however, game times have been moved back one hour. The five-team tournament will be held from Saturday, March 27 to Sunday March 28 with each team playing four games.

Along with NCCU and host Delaware State, Maryland Eastern Shore, Howard and Colgate will also participate in this weekend’s event. The tournament is an effort to raise money and awareness for epilepsy.
