Rams and Lady Rams Play Host To The Bears From Baltimore

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University men’s and women’s tennis teams will return to action on Wednesday, March 24 at 2:00 p.m. as they play host to the Bears of Morgan State University at the WSSU Tennis Complex. 

The Rams (1-14) will resume play after a six day layoff as they welcome the Morgan State University Bears (2-5) for the first meeting between the two teams since March 12, 2009 in a match that saw WSSU drop a 5-2 decision in Baltimore, Md. WSSU will look for their second win of the season as they attempt to snap a three-match losing streak. 

The WSSU women’s tennis team returns to the court following a 16-day layoff as the Lady Rams have not competed since March 8. The Lady Rams, a team that has won four times as many matches this season as compared to 2009, will put their 4-10 record on the line as they play host to Morgan State (2-7). 

The last meeting between the two teams came on March 12, 2009 in a match that the Lady Rams fell in defeat 6-1 in Baltimore, Md.

Wednesday’s matches are slated to begin at 2:00 p.m. from the Winston-Salem State University Tennis Complex. Admission is free and open to the public.
