WSSU falls to #8 Nebraska and Hampton in Columbia 300 Music City Classic

SMYRNA, TN – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams closed out the Columbia 300 Music City Classic on a down note with a pair of losses in the double-elimination Baker tournament. The Lady Rams headed into the tournament as the 20th seed after posting a 3-9 record on the first two days of play.

The Lady Rams opened the day with a 4-1 Baker games loss to the #Nebraska Huskers. The Lady Rams pushed the match to five games, winning the second set, 248-151, but falling in the other four sets. The team ended the day with a 4-1 Baker games loss to the Hampton Lady Pirates. The team won the second set with a 150-148 win, but fell in the other four sets.

With the losses, the Lady Rams end the 2009-10 season with a 7-53 record.
