Shaw Men and Women Finish Fourth at CIAA Cross Country Championships Two Shaw Runners Earn All-CIAA Honors Sherri Fillingham (Cary, NC) – The Shaw men’s and women’s cross country teams each finished fourth at the CIAA Cross Country Championships held at WakeMed Soccer Park. Raychelle Johnson (Jr., Albuquerque, NM) was the first Lady Bear across the finish line, completing the five kilometer run in a time of 21.54.8 for seventh place. Lawrence Lewis (Fr., Hampton,, VA) finished first for the Bears with a time of 28.24.7 over eight kilometers. He finished tenth overall. Bowie State and Saint Augustine’s tied for first in the women’s event, while Bowie won the men’s event. The Shaw cross country teams next compete at the NCAA Regionals, which will be held at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania on November 7.
