The Albany State Minute debuts on albanyherald.com Edythe Y. Bradley The Albany State University Golden Rams will be featured on a weekly internet talk show on The Albany Herald’s website, starting Wednesday, Aug. 26. The Albany Herald launched “The Albany State Minute” at midnight, and featured ASU head coach Mike White and quarterback A.J. McKenna talking about the upcoming game against the Chowan University Hawks on Thursday, Sept. 27. The show, the first of many weekly interviews with Golden Ram coaches and players, will air each week from the Albany Municipal Coliseum with albanyherald.com host Brian Perkins and Golden Rams beat writer Scott Chancey. Former WFXL Fox 31 sports anchor, Perkins joins the albanyherald.com staff this season and Chancey has covered Golden Ram sports for the local newspaper for seven years. The two will provide insight on the upcoming game for the week, and give a review of the previous week’s game. The duo will also welcome weekly guests from the Rams' football team and coaching staff to answer questions and talk about the latest happenings with the football program. Chancey will also answer email questions about the Rams on the show each week and blogs about Golden Ram practices during the week, while continuing to provide his usual features, analysis, columns, previews and game stories.
