ESPN'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME DAY  COMES TO FAMU SATURDAY MORNING
Award-winning to air live from the university quadrangle at 10 a.m.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Nov. 10) - ESPN's award-winning COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAME DAY presented by HOME DEPOT, the two-hour live broadcast which preceeds the network's varied weekly offering of televised games, will air live from the Florida A&M University campus this Saturday, November 15, beginning at 10 a.m.

Saturday's broadcast will take place on the FAMU quadrangle with the main set located in front of Coleman Library with the venerable Lee Hall Administration Building as the signature backdrop behind the set.

The show is hosted by veteran ESPN anchor Chris Fowler, while featuring an expert panel which includes Coach Lee Corso, former Ohio State quarterback Kirk Herbstreit and former Michigan Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard.

Saturday's broadcast will preview all the day's top college games, highlight key football personalities and will close with the much-anticipated predictions segment, picking winners of key games.

There will also be video of campus landmarks and some of the school's rich history in education and athletics will be highlighted during the broadcast.

The world famous FAMU “Marching 100” Band, under the direction of Dr. Julian White will also appear during the broadcast, along with the cheerleaders, student body and fans to make for an electric atmosphere.

This weekend's appearance at Florida A&M marks the first appearance for the show from the campus of a historically Black college or university and may be one of the few appearances ever for the program from an NCAA Division One FCS (Football Championship Subdivision, formerly I-AA) campus.

The GAME DAY program will be just one of three sports-related events on tap for FAMU fans Saturday, as the Rattler Football team will close its' 2008 home schedule against Hampton University at 1:00 p.m. at Bragg Stadium, followed by the Women's Basketball team home opener against Albany (Ga.) State at 7:30 p.m. in Gaither Gym.
