Offensive Player
Candice Nzeakor (Grambling State), sophomore forward from Ontario, Canada
Led Grambling State in scoring in two victories last week against Louisiana
Tech (6-0) and Southern (5-1). Candice scored four goals with one assist for
a total of nine points.
Defensive Player
Natasha Nzeakor (Grambling State) - freshman D from Ontario, Canada
Led a Grambling State defense that allowed only one goal in two games. From
her defensive position she personally scored more goals that GSU opponents
combined with two goals on three shots. She also had the game-winning goal
in the 6-0 win over Louisiana Tech.
Goal Keeper
Amy Miller (Prairie View A&M) 5-6, junior, from Jones Creek, TX
Miller recorded her sixth shutout in seven games during her teams' 11-0
blanking of Texas Southern. Miller recorded five saves on nine shots on
goal.
