Effective immediately, longtime assistant James Daniels will serve as the program’s acting director until a permanent replacement is appointed. WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams baseball team made time to give back, this December when members of the Rams baseball team assisted the Fur Ever Friends of North Carolina Adoption & Outreach Program. Members of the Rams baseball team spent two weekends in November, assembling cat shelters for the organization.

HAMPTON, Va. – The Fayetteville State Lady Broncos continue to accumulate the accolades this basketball season. For the third time in a month, the Lady Broncos were honored with a weekly CIAA award. This time, freshman center Bria Robinson was named as the league’s Rookie of the Week after her strong performance in Fayetteville State’s game against Barton on Saturday.
CU's Amanda Balduf Recognized at NFCA Convention

LAS VEGAS, NV - Chowan University's Head Softball Coach, Amanda Balduf, was recognized for two honors at the 2011 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) National Convention held in late November in Las Vegas. Balduf, who picked up her 100th win during the 2011 season, was honored as a new member of the NFCA Victory Club, a milestone for coaches who reach the 100 win mark. Balduf also received recognition for garnering the 7th ranked overall team GPA in all of NCAA DII softball. Last season the Hawks softball team boasted a 3.435 overall team GPA.

Still, the Broncos, as CIAA Tournament semifinalists a year ago, figured to be in position to make another step in head coach Alphonza Kee’s rebuilding efforts.
