WSSU Bowlers Post 3-2 Record On Day One
Of MEAC Southern Division Round-Up

NORFOLK, VA –
The Winston-Salem State University Lady
Rams’ bowling team posted an impressive
3-2 record on the first day of
competition from the Mid-Eastern
Athletic Conference (MEAC) Southern
Division Round-Up in Norfolk, Virginia
on Saturday afternoon as WSSU earned
wins over South Carolina State, Florida
A&M, and Norfolk State University.
The Lady Rams started the day with an
846-832 victory over the Lady Bulldogs
of South Carolina State University
before posting two more victories over
both the Rattlers of Florida A&M
University (821-704) and host-school
Norfolk State (800-583) to move to 3-0
on the day.
WSSU closed the first day of competition
with a disappointing 841-740 loss to
North Carolina A&T and a narrow 916-848
loss to the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman
College to finish the day with a 3-2
record.
The Lady Rams resume action on Sunday
evening as they return to the lanes for
the Baker Match portion of the round-up.
