knocked down 34 points and garnered 13 rebounds and four assists in the

On Sunday morning March 12, 1944, during a time of heated racial segregation, the men’s basketball team from the North Carolina College for Negroes (now North Carolina Central University) competed against a squad from the Duke School of Medicine on the campus of NCCU in the first racially integrated college-level basketball game in the South.

released its 2010 NABC Division II All-District teams, recognizing the
nation’s best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes. Among those
being honored include Bowie State senior Duke Crews (Hampton, VA,
Bethel, Univ. of Tennessee) as a member of the Atlantic Region Second
Team. |
