HARTLY, Del. - University of Maryland Eastern Shore junior forward Neal Pitt (Fort Washington, Md.) has been named Heritage Sports Radio Network Division I Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the organization announced Thursday. Pitt won a fan poll on the HSRN Website with 25 votes, 20 more than both Gerald Robinson of Tennessee State and Coppin State' Tywain McKee. Pitt averaged 16 points and six rebounds per game had two blocks and two steals in two games last week. His best game of the week came Monday with 21 points and 16 rebounds in the Hawks' 83-81 victory over Norfolk State. The fan poll is designed to give HBCU fans and alumni a voice in a national voting process as well as help them stay up-to-date on top individual performances around the country.
