The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association in conjunction with the CIAA Baseball Coaches Association announces its 2007 Baseball All-CIAA and CIAA Rookie Teams.  The CIAA Baseball Championship will begin on April 19, on the campus of Virginia State University with games beginning at 10:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm.

Joe McIntyre hit a grand slam, threw two runners out at the plate and hit a walk-off double all in a day’s work for the junior out of Fuquay Varina, N.C. His work led the North Carolina A&T baseball team to 13-3 and 4-3 wins on Saturday in MEAC doubleheader action from War Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In one of several installments of several preseason baseball polls around the country, Bethune-Cookman College has been selected as the preseason number one choice in the Black College Baseball poll as released on Tuesday by the home office in Pikesville, Md.

Bethune-Cookman Baseball Player Pitches First Major League Game while Another Plays in Baseball World Cup Bethune-Cookman baseball player Mark Woodyard,  a 1999-2000 student-athlete with Bethune-Cookman, selected in the fourth round of the 2000 MLB Draft,  became just the second B-CC baseball player all-time to play in Major League Baseball (MLB) game.


Penprase Drafted by Phillies 
Mississippi Valley State University junior, short stop, Zachary Penprase was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies on yesterday in the 13th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft.
Stillman Player Selected in MLB Draft
Sanduan Dubose the only senior member of the 2006 Stillman College baseball team was selected on the final day of the Major League Baseball Draft. 
Texas Southern’s Donald Green Selected in MLB Draft
Texas Southern Outfielder, Donald Green was chosen in the 39th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Mets. He was the 1174 pick overall.
Jones was the MEAC Player of the Year in 2005
A wrist injury forced North Carolina A&T junior outfielder Jeremy Jones to miss most of the 2006 season. Yet, his body of work over his first two seasons at N.C. A&T were impressive enough for the Colorado Rockies to select him in the 25th round of the Major League Baseball Draft on Wednesday.
