| Terry Named Crown Trophy WSSU Student-Athlete of the Week Trevin Goodwin 05/07/09 Lady Ram infielder bats .583 in weekend series vs. Spartans WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State University Department of Athletics announced that Lady Ram infielder Bonika Terry was named the Crown Trophy WSSU Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 8, 2009. The sophomore had a dynamic performance in the three-game weekend series against the Norfolk State Spartans. Terry, a 5’6” sophomore from Ramseur, N.C., highlighted the series with a .583 batting average over the weekend. She finished the weekend with seven hits in 12 at-bats and scored a team-high three runs over the weekend. She also had a great defensive effort over the weekend with nine putouts and an assist with no fielding errors. Her best single game of the weekend came in the second game of the doubleheader when she notched three hits with a run scored. The Crown Trophy WSSU Student-Athlete of the Week Award is presented weekly to the Winston-Salem State student-athlete who has best demonstrated their athletic talents in the arena of sport by representing Winston-Salem State University.
