State Friday at 9 a.m. in an elimination game.
 
The Tigers scored in the fourth on an RBI single by David Arrendondo.
Brandon Mikell’s RBI double in the seventh gave TSU a 2-0 lead. Charles
Derkowski’s three-run homer in the eighth inning broke the game open.
 
Ehren Moreno scattered nine hits but did not allow a run as Texas Southern
has posted back-to-back shutouts and has won six consecutive SWAC
Tournament games dating back to 2008.
