| NCCU BASEBALL AND DUKE MEET AGAIN TUESDAY Chris Hooks 04/06/09 Eagles meet Blue Devils for second time in last two weeks DURHAM, N.C.- The North Carolina Central University baseball team hits the road to take on Duke University in doubleheader action starting at 3:00 p.m. on April 7. The Eagles will travel just five miles to Jack Coombs Field for Tuesday’s affair. Just a week ago, the Blue Devils used 17 hits to clobber the Eagles 16-3 at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, and NCCU’s misfortune carried into the weekend down in the Sunshine state, falling to the Rattlers of Florida A&M University 3-2 and 17-1 in Tallahassee, Fla. NCCU freshman hurler Brandon Strickland (1-0 2.49 ERA) takes the hill for game one, while junior transfer Joseph Cobb (0-1 13.81 ERA) toes the rubber in game two. Admission to Jack Coombs Field is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for kids and senior citizens.
