Delta Devils Complete Series Sweep of Braves

Itta Bena, Miss. --- The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils
baseball team completed a three game series sweep of the Alcorn State
Braves today winning a 15-10 slug fest at the Delta Devils baseball
complex.

The two teams combined for 30 hits and seven errors in a game that had
runs scored in every inning but the last.

The Delta Devils were led at the plate by first baseman Sean Bard and
designated hitter Cole Gordon.  Bard went three-for-four (three
doubles) with two runs scored and four RBIs, while Gordon finished
three-for-four with four runs scored and two RBIs.  On the mound,
relief pitcher Andy Moss went three and a third scoreless innings for
the win.

For the Braves centerfielder Brian Scott and shortstop Chris Walker
paved the way.  Scott finished three-for-six with a run scored, while
Walker went three-for-four with a run scored and two RBIs.  Relief
pitcher Donald Nixon received the loss after giving up three runs
without recording an out.
