WEEKLY HONOR ROLL

BATTER OF THE WEEK:
Antoin Gray, Southern - (5-10, 180, Jr, 3B, Hattiesburg, MS) Antoin batted
13 for 21 (.619) last week, with five home runs, three doubles and 16 rbi in
Southern’s four game sweep over Prairie View and a home win over
UL@Layfayette. Gray also scored 15 runs.
NOTABLES:
· Aulston Taylor, Texas Southern - batted .583 (7 for 12) on the week,
including three stolen bases against Grambling. On the week he had five
stolen bases, adding four runs and two rbi’s.
· Damon Burns, Texas Southern - had a career high four hits and six rbi’s,
including a an extra-inning walk-off home run as TSU defeated Grambling
12-10

PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
Michael Darrington, Grambling State (6-0, 180, Sr., RHP, Bastrop, LA).
Darrington threw his first shutout of the season, spreading out seven hits
over seven innings, with five strikeouts in Grambling’s 12-0 win over Texas
Southern.
NOTABLES:
· Joshua Kirk, Southern, picked up a win in SU’s 12-3 win at Prairie View
and moves his record to a perfect 7-0.
