  • TSU Takes Three from Pine-Bluff
    TSU baseball took three of four from SWAC Western foe Arkansas Pine-Bluff. The Tigers (21-23, 18-10 SWAC) won the first three games, 11-6, 4-3, 4-3 and lost the final contest 1-5. In game one, Herman Hebert went 2-4 with two runs batted in. Senior pitcher Kirt Sostand pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts.  The second game saw Hebert continued his torrid hitting with 3-4 with two runs and batted in and a home run. Damon Burns and Aultson Taylor collected two hits and three runs batted a piece. Pitcher Clint young picked up the victory. In the game three win, Hebert delivered again with a 4-4 performance and two runs batted in. Hunt Harris picked up the win and Juan Deleon collected the save. TSU return to action, 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 23 against St. Edwards.

    GSU won the opener 6-4 and game two 13-6 to move to 8-6 overall and 3-3 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Western Division. Prairie View falls to 1-18 and 1-6.  GO
