Ellis and two players work at CWS


GRAMBLING, La. - Grambling State coach Wilbert Ellis was in Omaha, Neb. Friday to conduct a youth clinic in conjunction with the College World Series.
Ellis was joined was GSU infielder Kevin Camp and outfielder James Cooper in conducting a hitting clinic for youths. The trio will aslo be able to catch some early action in the College World Series Torunament.
"I'm just excited about getting to go the College World Series," Cooper said. "Being able to work with the kids will be great, but it's also going to be great just be able to watch a game there live at the park."
Ellis has been going to the College World Series for years to conduct the hitting clinics.
"This has become a part of my summer routine and I don't know what I'd do without it," Ellis said. "It's a great time and I'm always excited to bring a couple of players along and give them a taste of things."
Ellis spent the last two weekends serving as director of NCAA Regional and Super Regionals in Palo Alto, Cal., and Houston.
